Sonio selection NETVA program
NETVA programme

Sonio leverages on the NETVA programme to succeed in the United States.

The NETVA (New Technology Venture Accelerator) is an acceleration programme dedicated to French deeptech startups (high-level technologies, often backed by or stemming from public research laboratories) that wish to deepen their knowledge of American innovation ecosystems and plan to develop their activities across the Atlantic.

On June 23, 2021, Sonio, a deep tech company specializing in the use of artificial intelligence for fetal ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis, was selected in the context for an immersion stay in the innovative ecosystem of Washington DC which will take place during the spring of 2022. This programme will allow collective and individual meetings with technological partners, future clients and potential investors in the United States.

Before the immersion visit, a seminar organised by the NETVA programme was held from 21 to 23 September this year, during which Sonio met with public innovation players such as Bpifrance, French Tech, the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, which took turns to detail the range of public support mechanisms.

The seminar was also the opportunity to get a better idea of the specificities of the American market in terms of investment and fundraising as well as the administrative formalities specific to the United States in terms of market access. This was supported by the intervention of the network of French chambers of commerce abroad (CCI France International), which presented the various support mechanisms that chambers in the United States can provide during the internationalization process.
